This may be a little sensitive for a few people out there so readers be cautioned.
I’ve tried a few menstrual cups in and after going back and forth, I finally settled on the Sckoon cup and I love it. Honestly, switching to menstrual cups was one of the best things I’ve done for myself.
WHY?
If not all, most commercial brand tampons and pads contain the chemicals asbestos, dioxin, and rayon (fibers). Asbestos is an irritant that has been known to cause excessive bleeding. Dioxin is toxic to the reproductive and immune systems and has been known to cause endometriosis (irregular bleeding/infertility which is very common among women today.) Rayon creates a breeding ground for dioxin within the vagina (from the use of tampons) by leaving fibers behind in the uterus. Using commercial tampons and pads leave women extremely susceptible to hormonal challenges, fertility issues, and general complications with their reproductive organs. [Source: Wild Woman Speaks]
The average woman menstruates for forty years and uses approximately 20 tampons per cycle, which is roughly 240 tampons each year. This means she will use about 9,600 tampons during the entire course of her menstruating years. That’s a freaking lot of tampons! Women, we must strongly consider our choices regarding menstrual care. Not only is that a massive amount of tampons that wind up in a landfill year after year, but that’s a lot of harsh chemicals that are making their way into our bodies if we are using commercial brands of menstrual products. Choosing to care for our menstrual cycle with organic reusable cloth pads and moon cups not only does our bodies good, it does our environment a whole lot of good, too! [Source]
The tampon industry is convinced that women need bleached white products. They seem to think that we view this as “pure” and “clean.” The fact is, if Dioxin puts women at risk for cancer and Dioxin is stored in fatty tissue (just like that found in the vagina), and a woman uses as many as 11,000 tampons in her lifetime, could the long term use of tampons increase cancer risk? [Source]
How it changed my life:
Every time I used to get my period, I would always get worried that I was leaking or that I would smell etc and would go to the bathroom 2 times more than I usually do. Ever since I’ve discovered menstrual cups, I feel so much more at ease whenever I’m on my period because I don’t have to go to the bathroom every few hours. I’ve always seen the bad effects of tampons so I never used those. Now I go to the bathroom whenever I need to pee or poop, and if you insert it right, you can keep it in for up to 12 hours depending on your flow. I usually wear a pantyliner just in case my flow is a little heavier than usual, but otherwise it’s made my life SO MUCH EASIER especially at night.
So many people get grossed out about putting something up your vagina but we need to get over the “gross”- it’s part of life and natural- even though it may be inconvenient and uncomfortable at times. It makes life so much easier and saves you so much money. You just invest in one and you don’t have to keep buying boxes/packages of pads and tampons and freaking out if you don’t have any in your house when you start your cycle etc.
If you want to get one, start with the a Sckoon cup because they’re a little bit smaller than the rest and are more comfortable. If you have a light to medium flow and have a low cervix, get Size 1 and if you usually have a heavier flow and a higher cervix, get size 2.
I really hope you guys get a chance to try one out and I promise you’ll love it. You just need practice. Here’s more information on how to use it.

Before I start, you’re beautiful. Don’t look at thinspiration or anything like that, it’ll just motivate you the WRONG way. If you plan on losing a few pounds, guess what? There’s nothing wrong with that. 🙂 You should want to lose weight so that you feel good and so that you’re healthy. Don’t worry about what other people think because it’s your body.
I’m going to enlighten you with the basics a little bit:
How do you gain weight?
-When you take in more calories than you burn, you gain weight. A lb of fat = 3,500 cal. Your body stores extra calories as fat. So, for every 3,500 cals you consume, you gain 1 lb.
How do you lose weight?
-If you eat calories or exercise, you lose weight. Say you eat 250 cals less than normal and burn off 250 cals. That is 500 fewer cal a day. If you do this every day, you will lose a lb a week.
500(cal) x 7(days in a week) = 3500 cal or 1 lb
[Try to aim for no more than 2 lbs a week. If you try for more, you’ll probably lose more lean muscle and water instead of fat. Just remember, “slow and steady”.]
Anyways, here’s what you can do to quickly lose weight.
These are the main ways one can really loss weight and I hope these have helped. Always remember that the number on your scale doesn’t define who you are and if you didn’t reach your goal, it’s ok, tomorrow is a new day. Stay beautiful ♥

1. Plan Ahead
Before getting a job, think about how you will handle juggling your work and your schoolwork. Talking to a counselor, teacher or parent about working can help you figure out how to balance these two activities. Explain what you need to get from working and what kind of job you want and ask questions like these:
• How can I manage my time to make school and a job work for me?
• What type of job will work best with my schedule, skills and personality?
2. Pick a job with flexible hours
There are plenty of great part-time jobs out there that can accommodate a schedule that’s filled with classes, club meetings, sports, etc. A few good places to start are restaurants, tutoring places like Kumon, retail jobs, etc.
If you choose to work on school nights, just be sure to get a lot of sleep either after school or whenever you’re free. The amount of sleep you need to lead a productive day varies depending on the individual, but most experts recommend getting at least seven hours a night. I’m pretty sure you aren’t about to get any nap breaks at your job.
Also, be make sure you don’t over-commit to working more than you’re comfortable with, or your life could become a slippery slope of missed classes, low grades, broken promises and a Starbucks dependency. It’s better to target a lower number of hours to work in the beginning. If you get in a groove and are comfortable taking on more, you can ask your employer if there are more shifts available.
3. Start slowly.
Start by doing a couple of shifts a week then gradually work up the hours. Don’t just start with a whole load, and stress yourself out.
4. Make a schedule and stick to it.
You’re not going to successfully juggle work with your other priorities unless you exercise a little discipline. This doesn’t have to be as painful and horrible as it sounds. Before you take on a new job, sit down and write down all of your priorities like your homework, studying for tests, exercise, etc, followed by about how much time they take up each week. Then figure out how much time you need to relax, hang out with your friends, etc, etc. Now crunch the numbers and see how much time you’ll have to work. Even if it’s only enough for a shift or two a week of work, that’s fine. That is, of course unless you need to work a certain amount each month to pay for college and other cost-of-living expenses, in which case you might have to sacrifice on socializing time.
Once you have your schedule sorted out, it’s important to stick to the rules. If you decided the only way to make it all work is to devote one weekend night each week to doing school work, use this time efficiently and don’t get distracted by a “Pretty Little Liars” marathon or something. By developing these time management skills now, you’ll be ready down the road when life throws even more responsibilities your way.
5. Take assignments with you.
While I advocate for keeping work and school separate, I do think you can fit in your schoolwork at other times during the day. For instance, if you’re sitting at your daughter’s soccer practice or folding laundry, use the time to study. By getting your schoolwork done a little at a time, you’ll avoid cramming the night before your chemistry exam or pulling an all-nighter to write a 20-page paper on Shakespear.
6. Be realistic. Don’t over-commit yourself, thinking you can do it all. Get in the habit of saying “no” if you know that your schedule won’t allow a lot of additional commitments.
7. Don’t stress yourself out.
This is really important!
Make sure to get enough sleep, and enough time to do homework.
Manage your time properly.
8. Get help.
Reach out to your friends or family when you really need help with all your workload. Ask them with helping you out with stuff, if you have a huge workload.
Well I hope this helps. If you have any additional helpful tips, comment below and I’ll add them (:
School is starting back up and I know there are many people who are in high school and are most likely going to go to college/university. Hopefully, this helps you guys out a bit and if you know anyone in high school, share it with them so they can benefit.
These tips will not ensure you get accepted into your dream school though, it will just help you out and increase your chances of being accepted!
So let’s get started:
That’s really all I have for now.
If you don’t get in, DO NOT WORRY. Don’t worry if you haven’t got the results you were hoping for. Don’t worry if you haven’t got into your chosen University. The important thing is that you understand that your life is not ruled by results, grades and education. If your dream job requires diplomas, degrees and such, then go and try again! Don’t give up chasing your dream.
If i think of anything else, I will be sure to add it!
I hope these helped. Feel free to leave any questions or requests below 🙂

I don’t know about you but I for one get really excited for back-to-school shopping. The thing about back-to-school shopping is that you have to go to SO MANY STORES && it get’s really annoying. Unless you want to go out to get school supplies all on one day and pay $267 for school supplies which I’m sure no one wants to do, you should look for sales and be a smart shopper 😉
Here are some great places to look (In order of the ones that have the most sales):
Make sure to look at the weekly ads every Saturday or Sunday and write down what is on sale and what you want to buy from each store, each week.

Rosewater has astringent properties and works well as a facial toner. But that’s not all, when it’s combined with witch hazel, rosewater acts as a great cleanser, removing oil and dirt accumulated in clogged pores and thus creating clear skin. If you want to kick it up a notch you can add in Aloe Vera which moisturizes, treats acne and also evens out your skin tone.
What you need:
MAKE SURE TO REFRIDGERATE.This has a shelf-life of about 2-3 week or until it turns into a weird yellow color and starts to smell.

There are many tips you can use to make your eyeliner pop. Here are some that will accentuate your eye size and type.
Asymmetrical Eyes: If one is slightly larger than the other, you’ll want to use a liner technique that will help you correct and equal out both your eyes. Jeung suggests using a black kohl liner, like Rimmel London ScandalEyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal Eye Liner in “Black,” along the lashline, from the inner corner to the outer corner, increasing the width at the outer corner on the slightly uneven eye only to make it appear wider and even.
Close-Set Eyes: The key to this eye shape is creating the illusion that your eyes are wider apart than they are. First, use concealer on the inner corners to lighten and open up the eye area. Try NudeStix Concealer Pencil. Then, on the outer third part of your eye, create a “V” shape using a black liner, and then trace the shape with a jumbo liquid liner to make a thick wing, such as Rimmel London ScandalEyes Jumbo Liquid Eye Liner in “Black.”

Monolids: Extend the product up the upper lid so the fold on the lower lid doesn’t hide your liner. Jeung recommends using a waterproof black pencil, like Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil, along the lashline from inner to outer corner and stopping where the eye ends. You can also smudge it out at the outer corners, using a small smudger brush, like Bobbi Brown Eye Smudge Brush”.
Wide Eyes: Wide eyes can handle a lot of look, so go bold. Jeung loves a really thick cat-eye on this eye shape. Using a waterproof black liner pencil, create a tiny “V” in the inner corner of your eye. Then, go over the line with a liquid liner, like Ciatè Double Lines Liner” (a waterproof, dual-sided liner with a soft kajal eyeliner on one end and ultra-black liquid liner on the other), and wing it out at the outer corner for a patent-leather look.
Small Eyes: To widen small eyes, apply a taupe shadow over the eyelid all the way up to the crease. Next, along the lashline, use a black kohl pencil. Try Chanel Le Crayon Khôl Intense Eye Pencil in “Noir.” Smudge it with your fingertip and top with a dark brown eye shadow, increasing the amount of shadow at the outer corners. Try Nars Matte Eyeshadow in “Coconut Grove.” Along the lower lashline, repeat the black liner/brown shadow combo. Lastly, apply a light pink blush, like Benefit Cosmetics Coralista, using a fluffy eyeshadow brush to the upper outer corners of your eyelid, which instantly opens up the eye.
Almond Eyes: To accentuate almond eyes, line the inner upper and lower lashes with a waterproof kohl pencil the entire way around your eyes, then trace the outer corners of the upper and lower lashlines, smudging it with a smudged brush. Then, top it with a gunmetal gray shadow to soften it and use bronzer to accentuate the crease for a natural effect. Try Charlotte Tilbury Rock ‘N’ Kohl Bedroom Black Iconic Liquid Eye Pencil, and MAC Cosmetics Eye Shadow in “Scene.”

Enjoy,
Woot woot, summer is here and that means shorts, beaches and smooth shaved legs.
Here’s how:
1. Start off soaking your legs in some warm water to soften the leg hair a little bit. This will also open up your pores which will give you a closer shave. Don’t use hot water because that will dry out your skin and will eventually cause razor burns and flaky skin.
2. Liberally apply shaving cream to avoid razor bumps. Lather it onto your legs like it was shampoo. I use the Smoothing Shaving Gel with Soy from Target but any shaving gel will do.
3. Shave against the hair growth in long strokes. I find it easier to just wipe your thumb down the razor to get the hairs off the razor then wash that off instead of washing the razor off in between shaves. I really like the BIC Soleil Glow Disposable Razor and I’ve used it for a few (about 20+) and the blades are still fine. Plus I didn’t really get razor burns with this, it does the job and I like it.
4. Once you’ve shaved both of your legs, exfoliate them with a good body scrub. I use the Adovia Dead Sea Salt Scrub. This is really great because it eliminates the need to apply moisturizers after, gets rid of dead skin and also is filled with essentials oils. It really softens my body after I use it and also has a really nice smell which lasts for a few days.
Before I used to use the Barefoot exfoliating polish and it does an ok job, it exfoliates a little and smells nice but I still have to moisturize after and it runs out really quickly. If you should get anything, get the Adovia one above, that does a lot of things and also will last a while.
5. Wash off the exfoliator and shave once again. If you use the Adovia you won’t have to apply another layer of shaving cream because your legs will already have a smooth oil-based layer which will assist the shave. Doing this will ensure that any ingrown hairs that were exposed after exfoliating are removed.
6. Wash off your legs with cold water to close your pores and again if you don’t have the Adovia, you’ll have to moisturize your legs to make sure they stay silky smooth.
&& that’s it.

Part of summer is getting tan right? And what better way to show off your tan then a sun tattoo, or ‘TAN-too’!
It’s easy & simple && here are some ways to get a tan tattoo.
1// A sticker.
Get a sticker! It should be a basic shape like heart, star, etc. Clean & dry the place you want your sticker to be, and place it on your skin. Leave it on while tanning, then remove and there you go, you have your tattoo.
2// Sunscreen.
Most people use this method. Take some sunscreen on a Q-tip or your finger and draw a simple shape. Make sure the sunscreen isn’t too think. Leave it on while tanning outside or in a tanning bed, then rinse off after consistent sun.
3// Nail Polish.
Take a color of nail polish and simple draw a basic shape, like a heart. Like the other methods…

A few years ago I had smooth and clear skin but hormones started kicking in and sadly, I didn’t anymore. I’ve been trying many things and these have worked the best for me so I thought I should share.
At night, I use the Trilane Retinol +Vitamin C moisturizer with an added drop of Radha Tea Tree oil. Keep in mind that Tea Tree oil is REALLY strong and needs to be diluted, you shouldn’t just apply it to anything as it is.
The Trilane moisturizer is a good product you should invest in because it works both as a serum and a moisturizer. It noticeably made a difference on my skin. My skin seems healthier and brighter than ever; another great thing is that it didn’t clog my pores. The great thing about this that it really does go a long way. If I put a drop onto my hands, I can use it all over my face and still have some left over so I know I can use this for a while.

Another great product is the tea tree oil. Here are some benefits of it:
This bottle is WAY bigger than any other bottles I’ve seen so that’s a plus. Keep in mind it does have a strong, dirt/ pine-sol smell.
Hope this helps,

Ahh, summer is almost here and I’m super excited to go traveling. I’m also planning to take a few college courses online so this should be fun.
Take a carry-on bag and try not to take a heavy purse or else you’ll dread it. Try to find a medium-sized bag with wheels like this one:
In there, pack things like:
If you do carry a purse, keep these in it:
MAKE SURE IF YOU TAKE ANY LIQUID-LIKE THINGS IN YOUR CARRY ON IT’S NOT OVER 3 OZ. Also do the plastic trick from above. Anything more than 3 oz must be put in your luggage.
Hope this helped.

1//Enhance immunity against infections and cancer
Cold showers are sometimes touted as a preventative tonic for colds, flu, and infections. Researchers believe that the increased metabolic rate, which results from the body’s attempt to warm itself up, activates the immune system and releases more white blood cells in response.

3//Jump-start your mood and motivation
4//Crank up your metabolism to fight type 2 diabetes, obesity, gout, rheumatic diseases, depression, and more Normalize your blood pressure

So why not?
Everyone’s skin is different and reacts to every product differently than others but if you have combination, dry or oily skin these will help you because I’ve faced all.
(I’ll write if a certain product is best suited for what type of skin type. If nothing is mentioned, all skin types will like it)
Ok so let’s start off what I use when I first wake up. I usually just wash my face to emulsify the oils and then wipe it off with a towel. Then I apply the Simple Replenishing Rich Moisturizer. It’s a drugstore product but unlike the products below, this is a more natural product which has no harsh chemicals, dyes, or other harmful things for your face. That was a big part of why I switched to this. It also works as well as the products below, moisturizes really well but doesn’t make my skin oily, plus its way more affordable.
Before I used to use Tatcha Moisture Rich Silk Cream in the winter (The sample size was only .5 oz, but it lasts a while) and the Clinique moisturizing gel in the summer. The thing was though, the Tatcha one is good for drier and sensitive skin types. It really replenishes is and makes your skin better. This is a product you’ll have to invest in because it costs $150 for a 1.87 oz tub, BUT I promise you, it lasts a long time. I had the .5 oz one and used it for months (I still have some left over after using it all winter).
If you have oilier and more acne prone skin, I suggest you get the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel. This literally feels like putting water on your skin. I use it in the summer a lot because it doesn’t make my face breakout and in a weird way it controls the oil on my face.
Throughout the day, I don’t really moisturize as much. Sometimes I do it after I’ve been out all day and kinda just wash up a bit, but most times I just moisturize in the mornings and at night.
Before I go to bed I wash my face with AVEENO Positively Radiant Skin Brightening Daily Scrub. Honestly for me, face washes don’t really do much besides get rid of oil and freshen up my face about it, that’s about it. This is great if you have oily skin, darker spots on your face or both even.
I used to use the Olay Foaming Face Wash for sensitive skin, but it left a weird residue behind. It’s not really noticeable at all, but the weather started to get warmer so I started using the Aveeno above. That’s the only complaint I have about it though. This is a really nice product to you if you have drier, sensitive skin. It doesn’t dry your skin out more than it already is and if you have something like eczema on your face, this would work really well.
Once I wash my face, I like to apply this Vitamin C serum called Radha Beauty Vitamin C Serum. It’s really nice and light enough for everyday use. It smells a little like coconut oil and quickly absorbs into your skin. I love that it also doesn’t leave it feeling greasy at all so that’s amazing. The thing is with this, I really love that this quickly produces results. I had a few breakouts on my skin and within a week they were gone with no scars. A few of my older scars also had started to fade.
After this, I apply the Simple Moisturizer from above.
A few times a week I like to use the Clinique Clarifying Lotion #2. This is really great. I didn’t really see much of an improvement on my skin after using this, but the stuff that comes off with it is AMAZING. I use it at night once a week after I wash my face. You just pour some onto a cotton pad and wipe it all across your face and neck. The amount of gunk that comes off is so surprising. I don’t even wear makeup and so many things come off from dirt left behind even after washing my face with soap, to the color left on my neck from a scarf which I can’t see.
I still use this because I feel so much better knowing all these hidden things are off my face. They also have one for dry skin and oily skin. (Mine is combination). It literally feels like wiping water on your face and it kinda just dries away.
Every three weeks I use the Adovia Dead sea facial mask. It’s nice and thick and definitely smells like mud. Even after one use, my skin feels brighter and looks cleaner. I really recommend this to anyone because it kinda just gives your skin a little boost.
Every six weeks I like to DermaRoll. If you guys are interested in a more in-depth post on that, comment below. I like to use the OZ Naturals Vitamin C serum. This one is a little bit thicker than the one mentioned above.
If you’re lazy like me and don’t always have time to sit and apply products, get this. Even if I don’t Dermaroll, I use this once a week at night without lotion to let this just sink into my skin. It’s really nice and does what it’s supposed to, clear up my skin.

Hope this helped some of you,
For those of you who didn’t know, Mother’s Day on 5/11 (this Sunday) and as soon as people hear about something like these they always think about materialistic things. This year, try something new and different instead of just buying her the typical flower bouquet.
– Take her out to a spa and just hang out with her all day
– Surprise her with a shopping spree
– If she likes floral scents, ask around or buy a new bottle of her signature perfume
– Make your own beauty products for her:
So many easy ones can me found here on Pinterest.
According to a Fox article: “Nearly 9 in 10 Americans think mothers return their Mother’s Day gifts in exchange for something else. And most moms do, at least on occasion.
There’s nothing wrong with that, unless, of course, the moms had asked for the gift specifically! We found one husband and wife who know that scenario very well.
“I bought her a Mother’s Day gift probably four years ago that’s she never used,” said husband Michael Shelton. “She wanted it so badly. She never used it. It was a sewing machine.”
“I should use the sewing machine he bought me, and this summer I will, nearly five years later,” laughed Detra Shelton. “I swear!”
Whether you keep the gift or not, what’s the average amount a person spends on Mother’s Day? It’s about $65.”
Here are some more ADORABLE Mother’s Day gift ideas you can DIY (make yourself) [Because it’s the effort and love put into something that counts]
Good luck,
